Shibori Dyeing Tie Dye Learn some simple techniques to make circles and squares Folding & Clamping Make geometric shapes by folding and clamping Stitched Shibori Learn 3 stitches to make stripes, woodgrain, and designs of any shape Arashi/Pole Wrapping Wrap or fold and wrap to achieve fluid and organic forms All classes 2 hours, by appointment, $25 per person Wear old clothes & shoes Given by Eileen Hallman, New World Textiles www.charkha.biz cotton@charkha.biz	Felting Introduction to Wet Felting Learn the basic techniques of felting and go home with 3 felted items and the tools and knowledge to make more felt items at home. Saturday 12-4 - Basic Felting introduction - You will make coasters and another flat felt piece (a wall hanging, runner, purse or book cover) Sunday 12-4 ÝIntermediate Felting - You will make a seamless felt piece (a purse, bowl, oven mitt or tea cosy) The classes are $55 each 4 hour day or $110 for the full weekend. Tools and materials are included in that price. You can do just the first day, but you must have some wet felting experience to come to the Sunday class only. Bring a friend! Spinning, Weaving, Stitching Fiber Play: A Joyous Mediation Spin the wheel, dress the loom, interlock needles and yarns. Come find the interweaving of the inward and outward as warp meets weft. As we create cloth we create our lives. I invite you to join in a community of sharing the work and play of our hands, hearts and minds. Bring an ongoing project and/or learn a new skill. We will spend the day together in activity and stillness, silence and spoken word. We will create simple woven and sewn journals to record our journeys.
